Disbursements
Third-party costs such as Land Registry fees, searches, court fees and counsel's fees are passed on at cost. We'll list the ones we expect in your client care letter and never incur an unexpected one without asking.
Billing
Fixed-fee matters are billed on completion, or on exchange for property. Hourly matters are billed monthly. Payment is due within 14 days by bank transfer or card. We may ask for money on account before starting hourly work.
If something goes wrong
Tell your lawyer first — most concerns are resolved in a conversation. If you'd prefer, or if you're not satisfied, write to our complaints partner at complaints@example.com. We acknowledge within 3 working days and give a full written response within 4 weeks.
If you remain unhappy, you can refer the matter to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of our final response. We'll give you their contact details in that letter.
